During Wales’ second lockdown Kate and I decided enough was enough and that given UK saunas had been shut since March and it was now late October we really ought to do something to remedy our lack of hot box sweating. Within a couple of weeks we’d made the decision to move the washing machine out of the in dire need of a renovation utility room, had ordered the wood and in the third week I had built the sauna.
Owning my very own sauna feels like one of life’s key goals has been achieved. And it is a fine use of the utility room which now offers no utility… Just luxury.
